How long would it take for removal once it has been detected?
The HSE needs a 14 day notification which means we submit an ASB5 to notify them that licenced work is proposed to be carried out at your site. This means that once asbestos has been detected and requires removal they will issue approval within 2 weeks. It is also recommended that you stay away from the property until the company you select have cleared the area, abatement has been conducted, and the area has been professionally cleared. The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) can assign an inspector to ensure that asbestos has been completely removed before re-habitation.
